High Voltage Leak Detection (HVLD) Of Liquid Filled Pouches

Source: PTI - Packaging Technologies & Inspection

High Voltage Leak Detection (HVLD) of liquid filled pouches. Detects pinholes, seal defects and various micro leaks 100% inline. Heinz Wolf, general manager of PTI Inspection Systems, commented, "The HVLD test method ensures product seal integrity by identifying small pinholes, micro cracks and seal imperfections that cannot visually be seen. E-Scan 625 features a fast test cycle, produces highly repeatable results and is easy to operate. Additional benefits include quick changeover and easy test parameter changes to accommodate different products and applications. Another advantage is the HVLD method can be easily migrated from the laboratory offline to 100% inline testing applications at high production speeds. This is a huge advantage and overall simplifies the inspection and validation process."
