Goring Kerr and Ramsey Technology get Thermo brand

In the wake of Thermo Electron's recently announced corporate identity strategy, Ramsey Technology will now be named Thermo Ramsey and Goring Kerr will be Thermo Goring Kerr. (See earlier article).

"By sharing the talent, technologies, and resources as an integrated company, Thermo Ramsey and Thermo Goring Kerr will be better able to provide customers with more comprehensive solutions," said Lew Ribich, president and CEO of Thermo Ramsey and Thermo Goring Kerr. "The integration of Thermo Electron allows us to benefit from the company's size, scope, and financial strength."

Thermo Ramsey manufactures industrial weighing, monitoring and control equipment and specializes in process instrumentation and automatic control. Thermo Goring Kerr is a leader in industrial inspection and metal detection. Both companies market their products to the food processing and packaging industries.

Thermo Electron Corporation provides technology- based instruments, components, and systems for markets ranging from life sciences to telecommunications to food, drug, and beverage production.
