Wireless Mountain Inc.over data transceiver provides power without cables. The unit operates up to 19 miles away, transferring data or allowing equipment to communicate. For shorter distances, it also works through walls, concrete and other obstacles.

The transceiver can replace serial cable (RS-232) connections for data communications at baud rates up to 115 KBPS (the fastest speed for a serial device), giving freedom from phone lines and interfacing with virtually any communications device with an asynchronous RS-232 port. And, because it transmits within a public license-exempt band of the radio spectrum, there are no access fees.

Depending on the user's needs, the device can be programmed for point-to-point, point-to-multi-point or a combination of the two, providing virtually endless options, from replacing a computer modem for surfing the net, to automating a factory.

With point-to-point operation, two machines located in different rooms, floors and even buildings can easily transfer data and communicate with each other. The versatility of options increase with point-to-multi-point operation, which allows multiple machines to "talk" to each other – all while maintaining 100% data integrity even when transmitting and receiving multi-megabyte files.

The device works for a variety of applications and industries including:

  • Automatic ID
  • Machine-controlled robotics
  • Inventory control management
  • Signature recognition
  • Factory automation
  • Serial Printers
