Where Is Single-Serve/Portion Control Packaging Headed?

During an interview at PACK EXPO 2014, Matt Malott, VP of sales and marketing with Multivac, said he expects that single-serve and portion-control food packaging will become increasingly personalized in the future. When it comes to equipment used in single-serve and portion-control packaging, Malott says the industry is primarily concerned with hygienic abilities and repeatability. He also says more attention is being paid to consumers’ wishes for packaging that is easily and conveniently opened.
