Water Deaerators

APV Two-Stage Vacuum Deaeration Systems provide oxygen removal without expensive heating or substantial carbon dioxide consumption. Operating at 50°F (10°C), oxygen levels as low as 0.05 ppm can be obtained by two-stage vacuum deaeration and injection of 0.25 volumes of carbon dioxide. This provides an advantage to brewery application, where dissolved or entrained air can seriously affect product quality at all stages of the brewing process. As well as an essential ingredient in blending high gravity beer, deaerated water may be used to produce low alcohol or alcohol-free beer by dialysis technology. In the soft drink industry, ample supplies of steam for heating are not always available so centralized ambient deaeration of process water at ambient temperature is often an advantage.
