Taiyo International is the North American sales office for Taiyo Kagaku, a leading manufacturer of functional ingredients for the food, beverage, medical food and dietary supplement industries. Products include Sunphenon¨ (high grade green tea catechins) and Suntheanineª (L-theanine, a unique amino acid found in green tea which promotes relaxation without drowsiness). Other functional ingredients include SunActive Feª, a super-dispersed ferric pyrophosphate having no unpleasant flavors, no reactive iron source or change of color, increased bio-availability and a sustained release, and Taisetª, trans fat free oil-setting agents for use in margarines, spreads, shortenings, confections, baked and fried applications.
