Summa Industries to Acquire Falcon Belting
Summa Industries (Torrance, CA) has entered into an agreement to acquire Falcon Belting, Inc. (Oklahoma City, OK), a manufacturer of modular plastic conveyor belting used in food processing industries. Summa plans to consolidate Falcon with its KVP Systems, Inc. subsidiary. The combined company, which will be called KVP Falcon Plastic Belting, Inc., will continue to operate in California and Oklahoma.
"KVP Falcon will clearly be a leading supplier of FDA approved plastic conveyor belting for food processing. We'll be especially strong in radius or 'turn-curve' belting," according to Eric Palmaer, the president of KVP, who will become president of KVP Falcon. Both Falcon and KVP have patented belt technology.
