Silgan Holdings Purchase Assets of Campbell Soup Company

Silgan Holdings Inc. announced this week that one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries had completed the purchase of the can manufacturing assets of Campbell Soup Company.

The assets purchased by Silgan are located in Campbell's facilities in Maxton, North Carolina; Napoleon, Ohio; Paris, Texas; and Sacramento, California.

As part of the transaction, Silgan and Campbell entered into a ten-year supply agreement.

Silgan operates 58 manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada where it is the largest supplier of metal containers for food products, a leading supplier of plastic containers for personal care products, and a major supplier of metal closures for the food and beverage markets.
