Paper mill required source of precisely controlled hot water for machine felt showers. With thorough loosening and flushing of fiber and fillers from felts, water removal in press section is maximized. Dryer section efficiency improves resulting in improved machine runability. Shower water is controlled at 160°F, where detergents and dispersions are most effective.
