N/Avision-controlled, robotic case loading system packs flexible frozen food pouches into tightly packed cases and trays. Programmable logic controllers, servo controlled drives and handwheel adjustments ensure accurate changeovers for multiple products, sizes and case load patterns, as well as a variety of pouch styles and bag materials.
The device detects the exact position of randomly delivered pouches on the infeed conveyor and signals the robotic arm to pick up each pouch, in accurate registration, to position for loading into a preformed case or tray. The system combines a servo-driven metering infeed conveyor, vision system, programmable robotic arm, and a vacuum package pick-up head.
