Block Magnets have straight sides where the opposite sides are parallel to each other. The 90°right angles with rounded edges maintain a clean design shape. Magnetic blocks are versatile for use in any number of assemblies. For example, magnetic blocks are easily placed within a metal strip or channel to increase the structure’s holding force.
Neodymium Block Magnets are also widely used in applications like building kits, conveyors, clamps, closers, filters, metal detectors, cell phones, loudspeakers, flow meters, hybrid and electric vehicles, wind turbines, and motors in cordless tools.
Neodymium Magnets are a composition of Neodymium, Iron and Boron blended, shaped and heat treated to result in a super-strong magnet. If left exposed to the elements, the iron in the magnet will rust. To protect the magnet from corrosion and to strengthen the brittle magnet material, it can be coated with corrosion-resistant nickel plating from .0004 inch to .0008 inch thick.
