QAD/Coopers & Lybrand Alliance Speeds Implementation of ERP Software

QAD (Carpinteria, CA) has announced an agreement with Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P. that will accelerate implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for midmarket manufacturers in the electronics/industrial, automotive, consumer packaged goods, medical products, and food and beverage industries.

The agreement enables Coopers & Lybrand's Computer Assurance Services (CAS) practice to help businesses improve their operations with fast implementation of QAD's MFG/PRO software.

"This alliance leverages the complementary strengths of QAD and CAS services to midmarket manufacturers, creating the fastest path available toward fully implemented ERP software with a rapid return on investment," said Rita Foley, vice president of sales and marketing for QAD.

"MFG/PRO is one of the only ERP solutions that can still be fully implemented before the new millennium, giving IT service professionals the ability to go to work immediately to improve a company's financial situation by enhancing the organization's efficiency in manufacturing, distribution, planning, financial and customer service and support," said Foley.

QAD recently released its MFG/PRO version 8.6 software with significant capabilities in its three core product areas: supply chain-enabling distributed operations, industry-specific capabilities for chosen markets, and features for quick implementation results and optimized manufacturing operations execution.

Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P. provides services for enterprises in a wide range of industries with more than 19,000 professionals and staff in offices located in 100 U.S. cities and more than 82,000 people in 138 countries worldwide.

QAD provides Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and supply chain management software for multinational and other large manufacturing companies. QAD's MFG/PRO software is specifically designed for global manufacturers in the automotive, consumer products, electronics, food and beverage, industrial and medical industries.
