Pro-Fac Cooperative Completes Acquisition of Agripac, Inc.

Pro-Fac Cooperative (Rochester, NY) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Agrilink Foods, Inc., have announced that Pro-Fac has completed the acquisition of the frozen vegetable business of Agripac, Inc. Terms of the transaction were not announced.

Agripac is a farmer cooperative based in Salem, Oregon. Pro-Fac will operate the business through its subsidiary, Pro-Fac Acquisition II, Inc. Agrilink will provide the subsidiary with management and administrative services.

The business operates five frozen plant facilities in the states of Oregon and Washington, which employ approximately 600 full-time people. It currently sources crops from 190 growers in the Northwest and, as a farmer cooperative, Pro-Fac will continue that grower relationship.

Pro-Fac Cooperative, an agricultural marketing cooperative which consists of more than 600 members, processes fruits, vegetables and popcorn through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Agrilink Foods. Agrilink processes and markets a variety of product lines of branded, private label and foodservice products in facilities located throughout the United States.
