Bunting® Plate Magnets install easily in enclosed flow lines to remove ferrous fines, as well as large pieces of tramp iron, from many types of free-flowing and pneumatically conveyed material. They can handle powdery, moist, lumpy, and abrasive products and large debris that might choke, bridge, or cause rapid wear in cartridge-based separators. Plate Magnets can also be installed above conveyors or below conveyor drive pulleys to capture contaminants as material drops from open belts. Standard installation kits include a pre-drilled hinge, spacer bar, latch, and other hardware to ensure easy mounting.

All Stainless Steel Design
All Bunting® Plate Magnets have 100% stainless steel exteriors to resist the corrosive effects of mild acids, moisture, and washdown. Magnetic pole faces and tapered step faces are 410/416 SS. Everything else is 300 series stainless steel. Neodymium Plate Magnets are continuously welded to make a watertight seal that also protects against corrosion. Redesigned cast stainless steel hinges have smooth, easily cleaned surfaces and can be quickly disassembled for thorough pin-and-cotter sanitizing.

Flat Face Model is recommended for low-density product flows, inverted installations, and applications that must be kept sanitary.

Pole Face Model is intended for low-flow applications. It features two exposed pole plates to capture and hold contaminants.

Tapered Step Face Model is designed to hold ferrous debris against its solid tapered step to prevent wash-off of tramp iron and fines even in high-density applications and when product flow is rapid.

  • Versatile plates mount above or below product flow.
  • Ideal for 30° to 60° angled spouting.
  • Select from three face designs to serve your application.
  • High-energy Ceramic magnets capture most common ferrous debris.
  • Lightweight Rare Earth magnets offer top magnetic power.
  • Choose magnet strengths and sizes to match your requirements.
  • Durable stainless steel construction.
  • Hinged plates swing out for easy cleaning.
  • Self-cleaning models save downtime and labor.
