These mixers were designed to blend a tobacco product. They use an exterior melamine insulated jacket for both heating and cooling in their product processing. The larger mixer dimension is 240" in length by 44" dia. in a cylindrical trough width with a 180 cu.ft mixing capacity. The smaller mixer is approx. 1/3 the capacity. When heating and cooling, this style of trough creates the largest surface area where the agitator can mechanically move materials past the jacket surface. These mixers feature a paddle/ribbon hybrid agitator with solid steel shafting and welded arm spokes. The outer perimeter of the spokes are fitted with welded paddles. The outer paddles lift, scoop and move the product towards a center discharge while the inner ribbon is designed to move the product towards the end plates. This style of agitator works best with free flowing ingredients that tend to hump in the center of the mixer. The interior of the mixer has a #150 polished Sanitary finish in a 1/4" 316 L/W jacket. The motor on the larger mixer is a 30 Hp. gearmotor Eurodrive. The smaller mixer requires less Hp. Both include a main shaft reducer for variable speed drive. The product enters through 12" X 24" access openings, either (2) or (4) depending on size. The seals are Marion Style Split E. Each are treated with a special SS Epoxy exterior paint.
