PACK EXPO EAST

As the newest addition to the PACK EXPO event family, PACK EXPO East will bring innovation, education, and networking tools to Philadelphia in early 2015

PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, will soon be bringing the latest packaging and processing solutions to the East Coast thanks to the debut of its latest PACK EXPO event: PACK EXPO East. The event is scheduled to take place from February 16 through 18 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

As with other PACK EXPO events, this North Eastern edition will provide innovation, educational resources, and networking opportunities for members of the food-processing and packaging industries. According to Jim Pittas, Senior VP of Tradeshows at PMMI, “We learned through customer research that we have a great opportunity for both PACK EXPO exhibitors and end users in the North East.” PMMI aims to bring to the region world-class innovation and insights for many packaging and processing markets, ranging from food to pharmaceutical.

Pittas adds, “Whether your market is confectionary, baking/snack, pharmaceutical and medical devices, food, beverage, electronics, or something else, PACK EXPO East will bring an exclusive focus on processing and packaging technologies, top-tier exhibitors, and a customer-centric approach to operational needs. It’s everything you expect in a PACK EXPO show, located within 200 miles of one-third of the nation’s major consumer goods companies.”

With the varied mixture of technologies and applications, the event is designed to offer convenient and necessary access to whole-line solutions. Additionally, as a valuable networking tool, the event will provide regional attendees the exclusive opportunity to share ideas and goals between industries.

On the educational front, attendees can expect to have access to sessions on the Innovation Stage, on-floor education at exhibitor booths, and various activities in conjunction with packaging and processing educators. Additionally, the event will have an educational focus on addressing important challenges in sustainability, food safety, and automation.

“Philadelphia is an accessible and affordable destination for manufacturing professionals on the East Coast,” says Pittas. “By hosting a PACK EXPO event here, we’re creating and opportunity for manufacturers to bring more team members to the show, so they can explore innovations on the line and new solutions that they’ve never considered before.”
