Omega Protein Names West Coast Marketing Representative

Omega Protein, a producer of fish oil and marine protein products, has appointed Sharon Albert as the company's marketing representative for its OmegaPure fish oil products in the western United States.

OmegaPure is a food ingredient used to bring the benefits of nutritionally desirable Omega-3 fatty acids to a wide variety of functional foods, such as margarine and spreads, sauces and dressings, soups, beverages, baked goods, health bars, dairy products, and processed meats.

Albert holds BS and MS degrees in food science from Michigan State University. Prior to joining Omega Protein, she served in a number of research and technical positions with Borden and Pacific Vegetable Oil. Following that, she spent five years in sales with Pfizer Chemical before starting the technical ingredients marketing firm of S. Albert & Associates, which she heads.
