Noodles & Company Launches Good Balance Campaign
broomfield, CO - Noodles & Company, the globally inspired restaurant serving Asian, Mediterranean and American noodle bowls, soups and salads, announced recently that it has launched its Good Balance educational program in all 150 restaurants and on its newly designed website at www.noodles.com.
"By relying on global flavors, fresh ingredients and a selection of bowl sizes, we make it possible for guests to enjoy every noodle bowl variety, soup and salad at Noodles & Company for 520 calories or less," said Ross Kamens, Noodles & Company's executive chef. "With the launch of the Good Balance program, we're teaching guests about our dishes and how to easily satisfy their palate while achieving personal balance in all categories of our menu. Every dish at Noodles & Company can be ordered as a small, regular or TRIO – a balanced offering that allows guests to combine any small noodle bowl, soup or salad with a protein and a side salad."
Two-thirds of Noodles & Company's entire menu can be enjoyed for less than 500 calories, including the Bangkok Curry TRIO, a small Pasta Fresca or the Med Salad. And one-third of Noodles & Company's dishes have less than 10 grams of total fat, such as the Japanese Pan Noodles TRIO, small Pad Thai or small Indonesian Peanut Sauté. In addition, there are zero grams of artificial trans fats in all of the menu items at Noodles & Company.
Today, Americans eat about half of their meals outside of the home. At the same time, more people are becoming educated about food and nutrition, as well as balanced lifestyle and food choices. Through its own recent guest research, Noodles & Company found that a significant segment of its guests is looking for healthier alternatives, information and choices in regards to food and dining out.
The Good Balance program was created to help guests make tailored food choices that are best for them and their own balanced diet and needs. Through its new Your Guide to Good Balance brochure and supportive signage throughout the restaurant, which provide nutritional information and give tips on how to manage calories, fat and sodium, increase daily fiber intake, dine vegetarian, manage allergies, and achieve good balance for kids, guests will be encouraged to make informed and balanced decisions prior to ordering.
"The Good Balance program is about giving people variety, choices and helping them understand they don't have to sacrifice taste, flavor or a fulfilling meal to eat a healthy and balanced diet," said Kamens.
Guests can also visit the company's newly redesigned website (www.noodles.com) and browse the For Your Health section for detailed nutritional information and ingredients lists for menu items – as well as fast facts like the company's long-standing commitment to quality, fresh and wholesome food, the number of different types of vegetables in the Bangkok Curry, which is six, or the number of calories in the regular Chinese Chop Salad, which is 250.
