The KJT550 is an on-line component analyzer that employs Near-Infrared Reflectance (NIR) technology to provide instant, non-contact, non-destructive testing on most liquids and solids. The system features a "smart head" design that integrates calibration and memory storage, measurement display, and process I/O within the sensor head itself. This design principle allows the user to utilize stand-alone sensors, eliminating the need for controllers, separate I/O and display modules. Users can calibrate a system in one location and ship fully calibrated and certified sensors to plants worldwide.
With these features, the system allows for the measurement of moisture, fat/oil, protein, ethanol, and other organic substances on a moving process, such as a conveyor, pneumatic transport, or in a process vessel during formulation, granulation, or homogenization. Industry-specific applications include: composition analysis for grain processors and pharmaceutical manufacturers; coatweight and basis weight in paper mills or polymer plants; BTU content of coal and other fuels; and instant product identification/discrimination.
Additional Features:
System can be networked with the company's existing measurement devicesAn optional 3-Com Palm Pilot allows easy adjustment, calibration checks, and maintenance of both networked and stand-alone systems
