New Safety Light Curtains for Electrostatic Discharge Environments

FREMONT, CA -- Scientific Technologies Inc. introduces the MicroSafe-ESD Safety Light Curtain. Available in standard or segmented versions, the system consists of an ultra-compact, electroless nickel-plated transmitter and receiver (1 x 1.25 inches), a controller, interconnecting cables and adjustable mounting brackets.

The MicroSafe-ESD can be mounted on small automatic assembly machines and in other applications where a light curtain was historically too large. The in-line connector cables allow the transmitter and receiver to be mounted in crowded locations where a standard connector would not fit, and the cable length can be easily shortened in the field. The MicroSafe-ESD also provides easy alignment by virtue of STI's patented Individual Beam Indicator lights.

The MicroSafe-ESD features static dissipative lens material, dissipative cables and stainless hardware. Additionally, the system offers 0.8 inch resolution, 15 foot range and protected heights from 8 inches to 48 inches.
