The board of Greiner Holding AG has approved to take over a successful producer of food packaging in Ireland & Great Britain
The Greiner Holding AG board of directors has approved to take over Wilsanco Plastics Ltd. The Northern Irish packaging company will be affiliated to the network of the Greiner Packaging Group as per 9 January 2006. By going West, Greiner Packaging is strengthening its position as the leading brand for plastic packaging and packaging made of plastic-cardboard combinations in Europe.

With Wilsanco Plastics Ltd. the Greiner Packaging Group incorporates a company, which has built up an excellent reputation on the British and Irish markets.
Successful in Great Britain and Ireland
Wilsanco employs a workforce of 200 people and develops and produces printed, labelled and sleeved cups for the food industry. The company is a successful supplier for food packaging in Great Britain and Ireland. In 2004, sales accounted for 11.3 million pounds (17 million euros). Andreas Frank, president of Greiner Packaging AG Switzerland, is in charge of the acquisition and he is convinced, "The merger with Wilsanco is an important step towards the successful expansion of the markets in Great Britain and Ireland. It allows an ever more intensive and direct penetration of these markets."
