Napco National To Exhibit Innovative Packaging Brands At Gulfood Manufacturing 2017

Dammam, Saudi Arabia - Saudi Arabia-based Napco National returns to Gulfood Manufacturing 2017 to display its wide range of food and beverage packaging, including specialty brands and sustainable packaging products. Visitors from processed food, beverage, dairy and ice cream industries, as well as catering and foodservice companies, can find Napco National in Hall 3, Booth #A3-20 from 31 October to 2 November at Dubai World Trade Center in the UAE.

Gulfood Manufacturing features suppliers exhibiting solutions for food and beverage packaging and production. Over 35,000 food and beverage manufacturers attend.

Focus on Innovation

Napco National’s eight manufacturing operations in Dammam and Jeddah develop, design, and produce plastic, paper, corrugated, and aluminium peel packaging solutions. Saudi Arabia today comprises 70% of the GCC’s packaging market, according to Packaging Middle East & Africa, with the sector shifting from metal and glass to flexible packaging, alongside solid packaging .1

Attuned to demographic and lifestyle changes in the Middle East and North Africa, Napco National concentrates heavily on the functionality of packaging as part of its innovation process. The company’s plants partner with food and beverage manufacturers to develop or redesign pack type, pack shape, pack size, and weight to meet consumer demand.

According to Sarkis Dagher, Vice President – Market Development, “We’re designing smaller pack sizes to directly meet health concerns for portion control. Many people buy on-the-go products, like confectionery, beverages, and ice cream. On the other hand, families and price-conscious shoppers need larger pack sizes. While we’re designing packaging, we’re putting sustainability at the forefront, by trying to use fewer raw materials and to generate less waste.”

Napco National Packaging Brands

Napco National will showcase a number of brands at Gulfood Manufacturing, including:

Glass Clear® Barrier Films
Date fruit packers and processed meat and cheese manufacturers use Glass Clear thermoforming barrier films to preserve the taste and to extend shelf life of their products. Glass Clear films comply with European and American standards for food-safe film.
Aqua-peel® Peel Lidding
Aqua-peel lidding offers the strongest barrier to light, moisture, oxygen and aroma, as well as high resistance to corrosion, water, and oil. Beverage manufacturers use Aqua-peel lids on water and juice cups, while dairy manufacturers apply the aluminum peel lidding to containers of lebneh, laban, ayran, Greek-style yoghurt, sour cream, mascarpone, cream cheese, and processed cheeses.
SW® Shrink Wrap Film
Beverage manufacturers select SW Shrink Wrap to brand, bundle, and display soft drinks, energy drinks, juice, water, and more.
