MULTIVAC At Fachpack In Nuremberg

fgh

MULTIVAC will be presenting at Fachpack in Nuremberg (25.-27. September 2012, Hall 1, Stand 1-321) a wide spectrum of packaging technologies for all output ranges, as well as the latest marking and inspection systems from MULTIVAC Marking & Inspection.

The demand for solutions for automated packing is growing continually. The spectrum of MULTIVAC's customers has at the same time widened significantly in recent years: "These days we are talking to both the local retailer, who wants to get into the technology of automated packing, and to the representatives of global manufacturers of food and consumer products, who set ever higher requirements for the efficiency of their packaging solutions", reports Valeska Haux, Marketing Manager at MULTIVAC.

MULTIVAC has reacted to the changes in its markets with an enhanced product and packaging solution offensive, which the pack-aging specialist from the Allgäu will also now demonstrate clearly at Fachpack. For the first of its lines in the upper output range, MULTIVAC will present a complete packaging line for industrial products, on which memory cards will be packed in thermoformed blister packs. In addition to the R 535 thermoforming packaging machine, the line will include several handling system solutions, a cross web labeller with serialisation function, the MULTIVAC Vision System for seal seam inspection and a card loader from Buhmann Systems.

For the second of its lines, MULTIVAC will be presenting the twin track T 700 traysealer in an end-to-end packaging line with a tray destacker (Carsoe), a checkweigher with metal detector, a H 130 handling module with 4-axis robot and a Trimaster palletising system. MULTIVAC acquired the Finnish company in December 2011 and thereby expanded its product range in line automation, robotics and palletising systems.

Small and medium sized batches
In the lower and medium output range, MULTIVAC will be showing the T 100 semi-automatic traysealer, which can be placed on a table, as well as the T 300 fully automatic traysealer. MULTIVAC will also be presenting various chamber machines for packing food and non-food products in pouches.

With its R 145 thermoforming packaging machine, MULTIVAC will be presenting a particularly efficient entry-level model for the packaging of sterile medical products in small and medium batch sizes. On this machine is installed the MR296 TI  direct web printer with the Wolke m600 printing system. The C 400 TC, a special chamber machine with temperature controlled sealing bar, is also ideally designed for sterile medical products.

Labelling and printing
Among those product innovations, which will be shown on the MULTIVAC stand, will be included new marking and inspection systems from MULTIVAC Marking & Inspection. The MULTIVAC daughter company has for the first time launched a thermal trans-fer printer (TTO) on the market, in which the operation is com-pletely integrated in the MULTIVAC HMI 2.0 user interface. Cross web labellers for top and/or bottom labelling of thermoformed packs can also be integrated in the HMI of the packaging machine. This means that controlling the different labelling and printing sys-tems becomes even simpler for the operator.

Inspection and weighing
With its seal seam scanner, MULTIVAC Marking & Inspection will be showing a new inspection system, which checks the seal seams for consistency and possible contamination while the packs are in the packaging machine. Since the film is held and guided very precisely in the packaging machine, the line scan camera can focus more accurately on the seal seams than is the case with a later inspection on a conveyor.

The MR821 checkweigher is a further product innovation, which is available in three weight ranges and which can be equipped as an option with a multi-frequency metal detector.
