MG Industries Acquires Two Air Separation Plants in California

MG Industries has signed an agreement to acquire two air separation plants in California from AGA Gas Co. Inc. One plant is located in the Los Angeles area at Irwindale, the other in the San Francisco area at Vacaville. Both produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon.

"This acquisition is part of our thrust to continue to serve customers on the West Coast," James Doerr, president of MG Industries, said. "These two new plants will offer new capabilities to serve additional customers throughout the western region."

The California plants will complement MG Industries' existing air separation plant in Tijuana, Mexico and the Kalama, Wash. plant, which produces both hydrogen and UHP (ultra high purity) oxygen.

Headquartered in Malvern, Pa., MG Industries supplies industrial and process gas, application technologies, and advanced gas systems to a variety of industries, including electronics, food and beverage, materials processing, metal/glass, chemical/oxygen, cryongenic processing and grinding and shielding gases.
