McLane Foods Sells Out to Silver Brands Partners and Swander Pace Capital
McLane Co. (Temple, TX) has announced the sale of McLane Foods, a food manufacturing subsidiary, to private equity firms Silver Brands Partners and Swander Pace Capital. The company will change its name to MarketFare Foods and will relocate its headquarters to Austin, TX.
McLane Foods manufacturers fresh and frozen held convenience food products for retail distribution throughout the U.S. The company currently operates four plants located in St. Louis, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Fredericksburg, VA. Reed Iwami, who has been with the company for 20 years, will be president of MarketFare.
Based on San Antonio, Silver Brands current investments include Desert Glory, Nonni's Biscotti and Orval Kent.
