McCormick Makes Organizational Changes

The spice, seasoning and flavoring company, McCormick & Company Inc., has announced the following appointments:

Robert G. Davey, president, Global Industrial Group. Mr. Davey will organize the company's relationships with current multinational customers and emerging areas for growth. McCormick Flavor Division (U.S.), Frito-Lay Division, McCormick Pesa (Mexico), McCormick U.K. Industrial Group, Stange K.K. (Japan), and McCormick Ingredients Southeast Asia will report to him.

John C. Molan, group vice president & managing director, Europe and Asia. Mr. Molan will manage the combined consumer/food service businesses for Europe and Asia. In addition, he will manage the consumer businesses of Japan (McCormick Lion), the Philippines and China. All parts of the company's Australian business consumer, food service and industrial will report to him.

Francis A. Contino, executive vice president & CFO. The Controllership, Treasury, MIS, Acquisitions & Financial Planning, and Activity-Based Costing will report to him.

Robert W. Schroeder, vice president & general manager, McCormick/Schilling Division. Mr. Schroeder will be responsible for maintaining McCormick's return to profitable growth within the U.S. Consumer business.

Carroll D. Nordhoff, executive vice president, corporate. Mr. Nordhoff will continue to provide direction to the non-financial corporate officers and their staffs, as well as the company's Mexican joint venture.

Vice president, corporate strategy, to be named.

All six executives will report to McCormick president and CEO, Robert J. Lawless.

Commented Mr. Lawless, "These changes should provide additional momentum for McCormick, and I am excited about our future."

McCormick is an international producer of spices, seasonings, flavorings, and specialty foods.
