Manifold Packaging Solutions For Different Requirements And Versatile Areas Of Applications

Wolfertschwenden/Paris – With its inno-vative packaging solutions, MULTIVAC serves different market segments. At the Salon l’Emballage (Paris, Hall 5a, Stand C 086, from November 19th-22nd 2012), the French leading trade show for the packaging industry, MULTIVAC presents an ab-stract of its comprehensive portfolio of packaging solutions for different areas of application. This includes packaging concepts for the food industry as well as concepts for packing sterile medical products.

One of the highlights at the show will be an integrated packaging solution for the production of folded packs for sliced products as ham or cheese. The packaging line consists of a thermoform packaging machine R 535, which is equipped with servo lifting units and with a drawer system which assures a quick change of the forming dies. In order to fold the packs, the R 535 is equipped with a folding station and a labeler MR 625 OP. In order to assure product quality, the end of line consists of a conveyor belt system MBS 105 with an integrated metal detector. This unit conveys the packages and detects any metal contamination of the packages.

MULTIVAC also presents a thermoform packaging machine R 095 e-concept. This thermoform packaging machine assures the economic packaging of small production lots and has a very small footprint as it is only 2.10 meters long. The machine has been built according to the MULTIVAC Hygienic DesignTM and this way assures a high quality of the packaged food products. The R 095 is equipped with innovative driving systems and has no need of compressed air. Likewise, no fresh water connection is necessary as the R 095 possesses a closed cooling water circuit. Due to this innovative machine concept, the R 095 can be positioned very flexibly in the production area of the food processor.

At the booth, MULTIVAC will also present the packaging concepts Mylar COOK and Mylar BAKE. In August, MULTIVAC had signed a cooperation agreement with DuPont Teijin, the producer of these innovative packaging films. MULTIVAC sells these materials as well as the suitable packaging machines on an exclu-sive basis. In order to perform packaging tests, MULTIVAC sales companies are being equipped with trial equipment as well as with resources for consulting.
