Large-character Ink Jet System

The MARKEM 5000 large-character ink jet system can print high-resolution images and bar codes directly onto a carton, eliminating the need to inventory pre-printed boxes and significant expense for large, multi-SKU manufacturers. The 5000 system also avoids the cost, extra work, and printing constraints associated with labels, which until now have been the only option for plants required to print industry mandated bar codes.

The printer utilizes 256 ink jets to print 100% verifiable codes. The 5000 printer can print circular graphics and logos. The 5000 printer works with MARKEM Touch Dry ink, an instantly drying, nontoxic ink that requires no solvents or special handling. The on-screen graphics of the MARKEM 5000 Series allow operators to program an entire day's code changes only once and pre-programmed messages and graphics can be easily stored, recalled, and displayed. With MARKEM Composer and CimControl software, a MARKEM 5000 printer also can be networked to other coders and labeling systems on the factory floor.
