Lantech Introduces Load Guardian To Its Leanwrap Family Of Stretch Wrapping Innovations

Source: Lantech, Inc

New technology improves stretch wrapping outcomes.

Louisville, KY 9/25/15 - Stretch wrapper manufacturer Lantech LLC will begin accepting orders for Load Guardian-equipped SL Automatic Series stretch wrappers on Sept. 28, 2015 at Pack Expo (Booth C-3225) in Las Vegas.

Lantech developed Load Guardian to make it easier for customers to wrap a safe-to-ship load and to help reduce product damage from improper stretch wrapping.

This new technology eliminates the skill and knowledge required by operators to set up a stretch wrapper to create a safe-to-ship load. Operators no longer have to make adjustments (number of film layers, turntable rotation speed, etc.) to the load.

Instead, a screen prompts operators to enter data about the load’s height, weight and shape. Then the machine will chose the settings to wrap the load.

The concept of Load Guardian is similar to using the baked potato button on a microwave. Without special skills, users enter basic information about the size of the potato and the microwave figures out how to cook it at the push of a button.

In spring 2016, Lantech will offer Load Guardian on QL Automatic Series stretch wrappers and as a retrofit for L Series stretch wrappers.
