Lake Shore Purchases Rich's Waffle Business

Lake Shore Frozen Foods, Inc. (Chicago) has made multi purchases with Rich Frozen Foods Corp., including long-term manufacturing contracts, the acquisition of the Rich Lake City, PA manufacturing facility, the acquisition of manufacturing assets from Rich Lake City, PA, and Nashville, TN, facilities, and the acquisition of the Rich Frozen Waffle business.

In an effort to become an on-going independent business, the company purchased Rich's frozen waffle business which serves the private label firms such as Food Club, Roundy's, Stop & Shop, Demoulas, Spartan, Super G and Stater Brothers. Rich's has agreed to purchase certain products from Lake Shore in order to reach its success.

Rich's is a supplier to the Food Service and In-Store Bakery segments, specializing in food prepared away from home, bakery and dessert products and ingredients.
