Kraft Foods Names Polk to Head Post Cereal Business

Kraft Foods, the nation's largest packaged goods company, announced that Michael Polk has been named executive vice president and general manager Post Cereals. He succeeds Tim Callahan, who has resigned from the company.

Polk had been vice president, category sales management and strategy for the company's sales and customer service organization.

He joined the company in 1987 in the Maxwell House Division and has held the positions of category business director for the Maxwell house and beverages businesses.

Polk has a BS in engineering from Cornell University in New York and an MBA from Harvard University. Kraft Foods is the multinational food business of Philip Morris Companies Inc.
