Intercorp Excelle Adds A1 Steak Sauce to its Product Line

Refrigerated dressings manufacturer, Intercorp Excelle Inc. (Toronto), has purchased the trademark for ``A1 Steak Sauce'' from Campbell Soup Co.for the Canadian marketplace.

Under the terms of the agreement, Intercorp Excelle Inc. has acquired all of the assets, including inventory, capital manufacturing equipment, formula and trademark for A1 and will manufacture, distribute and market A1 through Intercorp's operating company to all major retailers and restaurant outlets across Canada.

Arnold Unger, CEO of Intercorp Excelle Inc., stated, ``We are very excited by this first acquisition, especially since A1 is a well established multi-national brand name with very high consumer awareness. We believe there is a tremendous potential for A1 and intend to concentrate on growing the underdeveloped Canadian market given current sales of A1 in the USA.''

The operating company, Intercorp Excelle Foods Inc., develops, manufactures, markets and distributes retail branded, private label and food service salad dressings, sauces, marinades, dips and mayonnaise in both Canada and the U.S.
