Infrared Moisture Balances
Moisture content testers were developed to obtain accurate measurements of these subtle yet important values. As a pioneer in the field of moisture content testers, the company has developed a large variety of models for different materials, applications and purposes. These products help customers meet worldwide specifications and standards.
Model 100
The FD-100 provides a fast-drying mode in addition to the standard measurement modes. A ceramic heater offers a lifetime of dependable use. This model has the widest range of applications available in the company line. Automatic zero-taring eliminates the zero drift problem associated with most electronic balances. Ceramic heating provides very stable heat distribution, allowing samples to be fast dried without scorching.
Model 620
The cost-effective FD-620 infrared moisture determination balance is a high quality, rugged unit that meets today's quality control requirements at yesterday's budget, through the use of integrated electronics. Every step of the measurement process is programmed before heating begins, and the 620 manages the rest of the test. Auto-taring helps maximize precision. The unit utilizes a 185 Watt infrared lamp, heating the sample in an efficient, effective manner that cannot be matched by air-ovens.
Model 240
This top-of-the-line moisture balance offers the largest measurement capacity, with a sample weight capability of 1 to 300 grams. Full electronics allow users the freedom to test without operator supervision. A 300g balance permits measurement of larger samples, reducing sampling errors. Combined with the ability to measure as low as .01%, the unit can measure almost any substance available. The predictive test mode of the unit checks the actual moisture loss during the test and compares it with predicted moisture loss. Tests are stopped when the two values are within pre-set levels. This allows tests to be completed in a fraction of the time needed to dry samples to end-point. This unit offers a powerful 400 Watt infrared lamp for heating the samples.
