Heated Hose Series

The newly introduced Series 2000 heated hoses are used to transport foodstuffs, water, non-flammable gases and other materials where heat is needed to maintain the desired flow characteristics. The electrically heated hoses also improve the performance of the material at the point of application.

In designing the new hose line, extensive value engineering was undertaken to evaluate hose manufacturing processes. The evaluation ranged from engineering practice and raw material selection to fabrication processes. In addition, the proprietary EZ1 Temperature Controller was developed as a companion to the Series 2000 hoses.

Maintaining the temperature of the fluid or gas within specified high and low limits is the function of the EZ1 controller. A strategically secured RTD sensor supplies a signal to the EZ1; the sensor voltage is proportional to the sensed temperature. The controller takes the analog signal, processes it digitally and outputs an appropriate power level to the hose heaters for maintaining the desired temperature.
