Growth And Trends In The Flexible Packaging Market

In an interview at PACK EXPO 2014, Greg Berguig, VP of Marketing at PAC Machinery — a provider of a bag sealing and packaging solutions in the flexible packaging industry — speaks with Todd Schnick and Todd Youngblood about current trends in flexible packaging. Specifically, Berguig cites growth for the industry in the U.S, as well as Europe and Japan— alluding to knowledge he learned from time spent in time abroad.

Berguig goes on to offer advice for small- and medium-sized manufacturers looking for flexible-packaging solutions. According to Berguig, these manufacturers should understand the company’s needs and goals, understand what the company is trying to accomplish, compare current methods against potential methods, and figure out where the company would like to be. Only after answering those questions should a decision maker move forward with finding an equipment solution.
