SafetyChain Software’s VP of Marketing, Jill Bender is joined by The Acheson Group’s (TAG) founder and CEO Dr. David Acheson to discuss FSMA's third-party auditing rule, including the latest updates from the FDA and what companies should be doing based on the rule.

Jill: Hello, and thank you for joining our monthly FSMA Friday discussion. We have lots going on, but third-party auditing will be our primary discussion. Let's see what is going on with FSMA. I am delighted to be hosting today's session with Dr. David Acheson.

David: Hello, it’s a pleasure to be with everybody.

Jill: David, why don't you share with us what's the latest on the FSMA front?

David: I think the big news, which is what we're going to focus on right now, is the announcement from the FDA with regard to the credited third-party certification program. That's obviously the focus of our conversation today, so I'm not going to get heavily into it, but we thought it was a good topic to bring up because it does raise a variety of questions. I think this announcement and some of this discussion around it will obviously trigger more questions.
