SafetyChain Software’s VP of Marketing, Jill Bender is joined by The Acheson Group’s (TAG) Founder and CEO Dr. David Acheson to discuss Listeria guidance from the FDA and how the agency suggests approaching Listeria. Here in part one, Dr. Acheson offers his thoughts on the latest news from the FDA and FSMA.

Jill: Hello, and welcome to FSMA Fridays. I am Jill Bender with SafetyChain. Always a delight to host these monthly sessions. Very excited about this month's discussion, Listeria. It certainly has been in the news, always in the news, but lots of activity around that topic right now and I'm delighted that we'll be talking about Listeria guidance from the FDA. And with that, let's go ahead and get started. Hello, Dr. Acheson, how are you this morning?

David: Doing well, thank you Jill. Doing well and welcome to everybody. I look forward to a stimulating conversation on Listeria.

Jill: Yes, it will be interesting to see how we progress here. But, before we get started, share with us latest FSMA updates, please.

David: Absolutely. I guess the biggest question or update, we'll say it's not an update yet, “Is will FSMA exist six months from now?” Where's that all going to go and is FSMA going to disappear? Let me touch on that.
