Food Manufacturers At Risk Without Checkweighing Systems

In his interview at Pack EXPO, Gerald Lisowski, general manager, Mettler-Toledo Hi-Speed, highlights some of the label protection, vision system, and checkweighing solutions entering the pharma and food industries. Lisowski expects checkweighing will evolve into a much quicker and accurate process in the future as more sensors (temperature, vision, etc.) are integrated into checkweighing systems. While package handling is often overlooked in the checkweighing process, ensuring smooth transfers off the line following checkweighing will be a key concern for industry, Lisowski forecasts.
