Eriez Expands Metal Detection Range

Eriez has introduced piece of inspection equipment which it claims reduces expensive machinery failure and minimizes production downtime.

The Model FF4 Metal Seperator, used to inspect dry bulk products under gravity free-fall conditions, detects all ferrous and nonferrous metal contamination even when enclosed in the product.

Metal contaminants are rejected through the separator’s “Quick Flap” reject unit.

It features separate detection and reject valves with an adjustable position of the reject outlet to match the collection drum or container.

John Klinge, product manager-metal detection, said the device is ideal for the food and plastics industries where high sensitivity is required.
