EnWave Begins Testing Continuous Pilot-Scale PowderREV Dehydration Technology

EnWave Corporation ("EnWave", or the "Company") announced recently that the Company has started testing initial materials on the continuous pilot-scale version of its powderREVTM dehydration technology that it is developing in collaboration with one of the Company's multi-national partners, Danisco AS. powderREVTM is designed to dehydrate a continuous stream of frozen biomaterials at significantly higher speed and lower cost than the standard industrial method of tray freeze drying.

"We are very excited to begin testing this scaled-up version of powderREVTM," stated Dr. Tim Durance, Chairman and Co-CEO of EnWave."This is brand new technology for the processing sector, and today we took a big step forward in our goal to introduce Radiant Energy Vacuum as a new standard for high quality bulk powder drying".

Since July 2008, EnWave has been collaborating with Danisco, a leading global producer of probiotics and food cultures, on the development of a commercial-scale Radiant Energy Vacuum ("REV") dehydration process. Since that time, the project has progressed from early-stage proof-of-concept through to demonstration prototype, and now into the continuous pilot-scale stage. EnWave plans to complete internal testing on the technology prior to conducting a full validation with Danisco's scientists and engineers.

If the validation is successful, the Company plans to ship the machine to a Danisco pilot facility for a final operational evaluation. Ultimately, the goal is to sign a licence and royalty agreement for a commercial-scale machine once the pilot-scale technology has been successfully tested and its cost effectiveness demonstrated.
