The manufacturer has developed a bearing insert for E-Z Kleen polymer-housed ball bearings.
Baldor Electricturer has developed a bearing insert for E-Z Kleen polymer-housed ball bearings. The insert, protected by a proprietary, patent-pending coating, provides superior corrosion resistance and optimizes predictive maintenance. The insert has the appearance of stainless steel for easy corrosion detection, yet unlike stainless bearings, it will carry the fully rated dynamic and static capacity of the bearing. In testing, the insert will not chip, flake, or peel, even under the harshest conditions.

The insert is manufactured with patent-pending FDA/USDA approved materials, including an UV coating that is visible under black light. The coating wears away first, before corrosion sets in, and gives a good indication of impending need for bearing replacement.

The ball bearings feature injection molded rugged housings with no cavities or fillings that can trap contaminants. The housings do not flake or peel, even after repeated washdowns. The housings are manufactured with an anti-microbial polymer that prevents bacterial and fungal growth, and are strengthened by fiberglass strands that enhance the stiffness of the base polymer.
