Dispersing Gums And Thickening Agents Mixing Solutions
Source: Silverson Machines, Inc.
Dispersing gums and thickening agents is a common mixing problem. With a conventional agitator, thickening agents must be added slowly and carefully over a long period of time in order to prevent lumps. Once these lumps have been formed, the agitator cannot disperse them. With a Silverson mixer, the powder can be added quickly and will still form a clear, agglomerate-free solution.
