Discharge and Metering System Distributes Material Throughout Food Plant
The recently introduced Multiple Discharge and Metering System from Hapman Conveyors allows material from one central source to be fed to various production machines located throughout a food manufacturing plant.
A bulk bag unloading station, which can hold more than 4,000 lb of material, feeds to an elevated flexible screw conveyor. Once the material is elevated, it is discharged into a closed loop conveyor circuit, which is equipped with sensors at every transition box to regulate output capacity and match the requirements of the particular food manufacturing production machines.

The bulk bag unloading station is available in stainless steel or carbon steel construction, sanitary designs and sanitary finishes. Capable of discharging a wide variety of powders, granules, crystals, flakes and pellets, the unit features an adjustable height frame, forklift bag adapter, adjustable pneumatic agitator assembly, and air operated controls.

The flexible screw conveyor conveys the material up to 16 cu. ft per minute and, with only one moving part, is simple to clean and operate.

The multiple discharge and metering system is fully automated, self contained, and totally sealed. Capable of operating 24 hours a day, the system can improve plant efficiency and reduce labor costs.
