Conveyor Belt Cleaning System

SCC Industries (Formerly Screw Conveyor Corp.) Belt Cleaning product line is designed and built to clean industrial or food processing belt conveyors. The food processing cleaners are suited for belts used in the confectionery, cereal and baking industries and will remove residue and material quickly and cleanly while conveyor belts remain in a production mode.

The system features three types of cleaners. The Rotary Scraper is a urethane cleaning segment with a helical profile composed of twelve blades with a non-clogging design, and is generally used to remove chocolate and other sticky material. The second cleaner is made of thin multiple urethane blades similar in design to a windshield wiper and is generally used to remove wet and oily material. The third cleaner is the Rotary Brush, made of multiple strips or "fingers" generally used to remove dust and powder.

The belt cleaning systems can be custom-built to fit most conveyor lines, and can accommodate any size belts and conveyor frames. Various enhancements and methods for mounting can be added to improve performance and minimize maintenance, once again satisfying the exacting performance requirements of the conveyor industry.

Specifications:

Industrial Units use mild steel components. Rotary Scraper models are manufactured with stainless steel mounting plates and shafts. Rotary Wiper Blade and Rotary Brush models utilize stainless steel shafts and nickel plated aluminum tubing. The cleaner's speed is coordinated with the belt speed to maximize performance. Rotation speed may vary from 300 RPM to 1100 RPM depending on the application. Rotary Scraper blades or segments and wiper-brush elements have long life cycles, and are easily replaceable.
