Computer Controlled Non-Contact Feeder

This Computer Controlled Non-Contact Feeder accurately feeds metered product into the receiving conveyor of the horizontal wrapper at speeds up to 350 products per minute. The horizontal wrapper speed can be automatically adjusted based on the supply rate of product.

The feeder employs multiple servo driven belts to alter the gaps of product groups delivered to the system into an equally spaced, uniform supply of product for delivery to the wrapper. Product gap closing, metering, and fine phasing of products are accomplished using servo driven belts. No product side guides or hold-downs are required.

Sanitation is improved via the cantilevered design, which also allows freer and quicker access to the entire system for ease of maintenance. Changeover of a wide range of product sizes is quick and repeatable via the product recipe storage capability.
