Complete Metal Detection Solutions From Lock
Lock Inspection Systems Inc., Booth C 3618, Pack Expo 2005, September 26 – 28, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas
The MET30+ hf metal detector will be the highlight from Lock Inspection Systems at this year's Pack Expo. Designed primarily for snacks, bakery and other dry products with low conductivity, it inspects at 875Khz – four times more than standard food industry detectors – and offers up to 30% higher sensitivity. The new detector will be just one of a complete range of metal detectors designed for use in the food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and packaging industries. Also on show will be the rest of the MET30+ portfolio, including the Pharmaceutical, the Waferthin and the Pipeline. Visitors will also be able to view a WeighChek checkweigher.
One of the leading suppliers of metal detectors in the US, Lock has attracted significant interest in the MET30+ hf since its launch. It uses a single high frequency, crystal-controlled oscillator, remaining robust and reliable at peak sensitivities. The system is a horizontal unit, employed at the end of the line for final screening of dry, polywrapped finished products.
Suitable for this and a wide range of other industries, the MET30+ Vertical Fall range inspects free-falling incoming raw materials in powder or bulk form, eliminating metallic contamination early in the production process. Lock is promising to unveil exciting news about the Compact Vertical Fall detector at the expo.
Pumped, fluid products such as jams, sauces, juices, soup and sausage meat can be inspected with the MET30+ Pipeline, a fully waterproof system boasting unique electronics and rugged construction. Snack, confection and frozen food manufacturers with limited space will be attracted to the Waferthin, a compact detector that slots between multihead weighers and VFFS bagmakers, without compromising on performance.
In addition to the WeighChek, its sophisticated checkweigher, Lock will also exhibit the WeighChek Combi, an integrated checkweighing and metal detection system which performs multiple functions and saves valuable time, space and resources. Technical and industry experts from Lock will be available to discuss specific applications and metal detection solutions.
Renowned for its customized inspection systems and excellent after sales-support, Lock Inspection Systems supplies metal detection and checkweighing equipment to manufacturers in the food and pharmaceutical industries worldwide. Based in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and Oldham, UK, Lock has a global network of distributors and high caliber maintenance and research teams.
