Clear Lam Packaging, Inc., And Triangle Package Machinery Co. To Unveil Continuous Motion Vertical Bagging Machine With PrimaPak Technology At PACK EXPO Las Vegas

Clear Lam Also to Feature New Packaging Films for Applications with FFS, Tray Sealing Equipment, and Industrial Thermoformers

WHAT: Demand for improved product performance, versatility and sustainability continues to drive new innovations in packaging equipment and materials from supplier Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. The company is exhibiting at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas Sept. 28-30, 2015 and highlights of what will be featured include:

• New Triangle Vertical Bagging Machine Features PrimaPak Equipment Interface: Clear Lam Packaging and Triangle Package Machinery unveil a new Model XYT15C4CFB/PP Vertical-Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS) Bagging Machine with the revolutionary PrimaPak Continuous Motion Interface. Technically advanced and operator friendly, the new Triangle PrimaPak VFFS Bagging Machine with Continuous Motion Interface can perform at faster operating speeds up to 100 bags per minute, depending on the package size. The Clear Lam PrimaPak System produces a six-sided, stackable package with a reclosable feature and the package is made from a single roll of flexible film. It is designed to replace rigid cans, bottles, jars, trays and select stand-up bags. Applications for the PrimaPak technology include confectionery and snack products, cereal, coffee, detergent pods, pet food, cheese and produce.

The new PrimaPak continuous motion machine will be showcased in Triangle’s booth C-2620. In addition, a video demonstrating the unique packaging capabilities for the Triangle bagging machine with the PrimaPak Continuous Motion Interface will be shown in Clear Lam’s booth S-6307.

• Ilapak Vegetronic 2000 Vertical Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS) Machine with New Single-Serve Intermittent Motion PrimaPak Equipment Interface: At the Ilapak booth (C-5006A), a single-serve PrimaPak package will be run on this bagging machine, an ideal solution for portion control and easy graband-go convenience. The lidding system peels off for easy product consumption.
• Metalized Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Rollstock for Form-Fill-Seal Equipment: Featuring a metallic appearance, PET film materials for FormFill-Seal (FFS) equipment or industrial thermoformers are available in silver or can be custom made in gold, ruby or green. The new Metalized PACK EXPO Las Vegas Invite/Page 2 PET Rollstock offers improved temperature resistance for hot fill applications. It also has a 30 percent wider thermoforming window than standard PET materials, so it works well with machines using either contact heaters or radiant heaters. In addition, the material can be easily sealed with lidding films to extend product shelf life.

This PET plastic is recyclable with other colored or pigmented polyester bottles or trays. Applications for the Metalized PET Rollstock include condiments, dips, sauces, meats, cheeses, deli and produce platters, and premium bakery containers.

• PET Lidding Films: Clear Lam introduces the new SealChoice product family for ready-to-eat foods, a growing segment demanding better performing and lower cost lidding films that seal to PET containers. These films are designed for superior wet and contamination sealing to PET trays, cups or platters. When compared to similar laminates made from flexible materials, this film provides a 28 to 42 percent improvement in bond strength. Made in the U.S., the SealChoice family of films is also priced lower than competing films imported from the Far East. Printable with anti-fog and barrier properties, the material can be run on tray sealing or form-fill-seal equipment. Applications include deli dips, prepared meal and snack kits, and fresh produce items.
