Carlisle Process Systems to acquire Stork Friesland, B.V. and Zimmer Corp.
Carlisle Companies Inc. (Syracuse, NY) has announced that its Carlisle Process Systems Group signed two letters of intent to acquire Stork Friesland in Gorredijk, Holland and Zimmer Corporation of Columbia, MD.
Stork Friesland designs and manufactures evaporators and spray dryers for milk powder plants worldwide. Stork Friesland has served the dairy and food processing industry since 1913 and employs nearly 50 employees at its center for research and development in Gorredijk.
Zimmer Corp. is the market leader in North America for evaporators that process milk, whey and their by-products. The company also specializes in the design of high temperature aseptic food processing and dairy wastewater systems.
Tim High, president of Carlisle Process Systems, stated, ``The acquisitions of Stork Friesland and Zimmer will form the cornerstone of our new evaporation and powder group extending our current number one position in cheese systems.''
The combined sales of Stork Friesland and Zimmer are in excess of $30 million. Terms of the transactions were not announced.
Carlisle is a diversified manufacturer of products serving four major markets: construction materials, industrial components, automotive components and general industry.
