CapScan High Speed Closure Inspection System

Source: Peco InspX

The CapScan Closure Inspection System with its unique learning feature assures that incorrect or improperly applied closures and proper fill level are efficiently identified at full line speed. The CapScan free-standing inspection assembly incorporates sensing, lighting, and camera in one easy to install, stainless steel unit that cantilevers over the production conveyor. The Operator Console locates separately to provide ease of access. The CapScan is suitable for wet environments and can be equipped with one of the range of Peco Controls Ejectors.

Unique “Learning” Inspection Set-up
By defining the area of inspection, CapScan learns the normal (acceptable) attributes of the package simply by selecting the “Learn” switch on the side of the console. Swiftly and efficiently, the CapScan learns the proper set-up and commences inspection. Operator intervention is swift and effective.

Inspects Without Contact
Installation on existing conveyors eliminates additional maintenance and container jams from conveyor transfers.

Installs On Existing Conveyors
The Cap Scan side view inspection minimizes installation costs and facilitates installation at optimal locations.

Fill Level and other Inspections
Multiple inspections can be made at the same time including fill level where the bottle is translucent.

Complete System Support
Peco Controls provides complete system support for all major elements including camera, lighting, image processing, speed control, and ejector operation.
