The Model LDP automatic self-cleaning strainer protects system components in low pressure applications by straining out
The Model LDP automatic self-cleaning strainer protects system components in low pressure applications by straining out and removing potentially damaging particulate matter from the process media. It can be used in piping systems with line pressures below 20 psi—applications that previously were unable to use automatic self-cleaning strainers.

An external-flushing arm, rotating synchronously with the backwash arm, directs a high velocity flow of liquid through the straining element to dislodge the trapped debris. The debris-laden liquid is then directed to backwash outlet, creating a push-pull effect.

An automatic control system senses when the strainer element is in need of cleaning and then initiates the strainer element cleaning cycle. Continuous flow is maintained throughout the cleaning cycle, and the line never needs to be shut down. The strainer is available in pipeline sizes from 6–24 in., in iron, carbon steel and stainless steel with flanged ANSI pipe connections.
